seized n/s brake caliper

Postby jagcat12 » Tue Jul 07, 2020 1:59 pm

Drove my A610 for the first time this week and it didn't feel right .The rear n/s caliper was seized on .Took to usual garage who are familiar with the car and all attempts to free the seized piston unsuccessful.
Does anyone have a spare rear caliper that they would sell

Thanks Dave g

Hi Dave,

I don't have a spare caliper but if all else fails you could sent the caliper..or maybe both of the rear calipers to Bigg Red in Worcester to be refurbished : http://biggred.co.uk/

IThey also do caliper refurb kits, including pistons so its worth having a look at their site. I have had calipers refurbished by them in the past plus having the calipers painted and they did a really good job.

Definitely normally a decent firm to deal with.

Caliper is similar to Citroen XM front so they can be used as a cheaper source of spares.
