Does anyone know what type of connector this is and where you can buy one?

Still plagued with the ruddy engine management light coming on intermittently, thinking poor connection at the connector end.

It's a Delphi connector: https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/automoti ... s/8010752/

Watch out though as you find there are a few variations that mean there's effectively a plastic key-way to ensure you can only fit them one way round. The Renault ones are unusual so when I bought one last time I simply modified it with a Stanley knife and a hot soldering iron to make the slot.

Is that the temp sensor? If so that will definitely cause a flashing intermittent 'ECU' light to flicker if it's playing games.

Thanks Darren and yes it is. I replaced the temp sensor a while ago as the old one played up.
Interestingly I ran the car and the eng mang light flickered and then went solid. Turned the engine off, discounted and reconnected the eng temp sensor and then when I tried to restart the lamp stayed on and had to floor the throttle to get it fire up. Lumpy as hell and then the lamp went off and idled although was 'missing slightly.

Today, out of desperation, I disconnected the connector, sprayed with switch cleaner and then also disconnected the two connectors attached to the ignition pack and sprayed them too.
It fired up fine and idled smoothly.

Just wondering if the ign pack (which is relatively new) connectors are the source of my woes.

I guess a dodgy connection at the connectors on the ign pack may also drive the eng mang light to come on / flicker ??

Could well be. I'm not certain if they will light the ecu lamp on the dash, but probably, and yes if one is loose or not connecting properly you'll definitely have bad running.

They should clip in place, but my connectors have broken tabs so I've cable tied just to make sure they're not going to come off easily.

Thanks again Darren. It must be a dodgy connection at either the Renix or temp sensor.

Dave, I'll look at the TDC connector and compare.
Its the female end I think I need (as the male connector came with the temp sensor, so its relatively new).
