It's all change here at RATS!

We've moved units and merged with another classic car outfit in the proper North of Rotherham where baps and cobs are breadcakes ;-)
Still the same old RATS but with more capacity and greater diversity. No man is an island etc .....
All classics catered for with specialists in Alpine ;-) and TVR but we also have 3 Lotus Carlton, TR7, GT6, Venturi and a few others to deal with.

This little beauty has just landed having sat in a container for the last 3 decades. Full ground up resto is being planned. It'll be a long haul .

Good to see that it's going to get some attention, certainly worth saving.

I remember this one from when it was on this forum towards the end of 2017 when initial enquiries were being made about the car.

Best of luck, as you say, a long haul judging from the Facebook photos.

Main issue is with the body and paint. That's going to take some time.

There's a consultant position available if you fancy it John ;-)

Looks like it had some mods, Gordini lump will need stripping down but turns freely.

I'm sure you'll be quite capable of its restoration, I'm just an amateur.

It should be simpler to do than the GTAs and A610s, no electronics for example. :up
It could be more of a fiddle however due to its small size, restricted access in some places and 'hand made' construction. :!:

Yes, pretty basic stuff on the whole. I think parts are pretty much all available. We are mainly missing trim for the damaged door.

Which trim parts are missing?

As you say, most parts are available. I found that it wasn't always possible to buy them all from a single source. Some have most of what you want but not everything. Prices also vary for the same item, so that was also a factor in the selection. Some of the parts, I would guess, are only made in one place that then supplies to the usual sources, parts such as windscreen and rear quarter light rubber seals.

From the photos it looks as if the fixed front quarter light is under the rag in the boot. If the main glass is missing, the usual sources have that.
