Koni gas suspension for sale

Postby peterg » Sun Sep 11, 2005 7:49 pm

I have a set of 4 gas adjustable Koni shocks for sale for the GTA. They were bought from David last year and have covered no more than 1000 miles since. On top of them I will throw in a pair of slightly uprated and lowered front springs (by 35mm approx). The rear Konis are currently set to lower the rear of the car by 25mm (David had a new mount machined into them for me)....so what you are getting is a complete lowering kit with gas adjustable shocks that will maintain decent ride quality, but look good....all for £200 posted! Its a bargain....the shocks alone would cost £400 new.

Sorry ,body-modder speak
The new front springs would seem to be to low , as a result the cheap Nakang tyres installed thereon have been rubbing the arches creating a new profile .It is indeed fortunate that I have in my possession
a set of good quality Ventus sport tyres to replace the worn pneumatics .

No need to grind!

The tyres will actually rub away the wheel arch lip after a while, check my car next time you see it - Davids red car was the same too!

Yes :!: I know :!: the lip has gone, I got a paper-cut whilst checking the damage .They are razor sharp as the tyre has been rubbing on the inner face .

Grinding disks are only a few pence each and so's sandpaper, tyres are an expensive alternative to these tried and tested tools I think :?

It also depends on your wheels too. Any azevs sold in years past came in too low an offset and sat very flush with the arch. I noticed this on the first set I purchased, and subsequently had any further sets machined in a higher offset.

Even my 8.5 x 18" fronts haven't rubbed the lip completely away, and I think mine is lower than everybody's

I shall stick some wet and dry to the tyres as they're well f***ed.This will also improve the grip
