For an enthusiast’s car the “handbook” really is atrocious.

You are not wrong! I started trying to fit a reversing camera today, but since there is no circuit diagram, all bulb replacement is "consult your dealer" it's proving surprizingly hard even to get access to the appropriate wiring. It's not at all obvious how to access any of the light fittings.

I'm at 3800 miles now and will check my levels this weekend and report. I have topped up the N/S at 1600 miles but not attempted to do anything with the O/S yet!

Checked fluids, just above minimum which seems to be where it like to be.

In other news .. I checked last weekend and have similar coolant levels to everyone else and have bought some Type D coolant which I’ll top up this weekend .

Really enjoying the car so far, better than I could have hoped for.

If you’ve got one of these on order be patient they are worth it - anything you would want from a sports Coupe really .. it’s like the Venn Diagram of sports cars and gets approval from Porsche, Lotus and French Performance car fans .

Looks like some French Dealers are recieving Legende Demos this week.

Love the Venn Diagram analogy! Spot on! I've sold my Porsche 997 Targa 4S and my 83 911 RS Recreation...it's both those cars in one package!

Regarding numbers mine is 1428 and she was delivered on 26th August 2018. I was told it would be consecutive numbers too but not the case with PE's. Was also told that all PE's had to be delivered and registered prior to 31st August 2018 for homologation reasons but I guess that wasn't the case either.

I think all the UK RHD PEs had to be registered by 31st August. Not all the PEs.

Renaultsport Clio V5 255 (previously) - met. red

I'd be pretty sure they would have liked/intended to have done all PEs before WLTP kicked in. French buyers are now getting upset that deliveries didn't followed date of order - the remaining PEs will attract a significantly bigger emissions tax. So some buyers are paying more despite ordering sooner.

Mine is a 68 plate October 5th but think it had been an unsold showroom car since August.

interesting...We'd all been told by our dealers that our cars had to be registered by 31 August - didn't realise there was an exception for showroom cars. Didn't matter to me as I was putting it on my own plate but those who weren't missed out on the new reg by a day.
Does it affect your road tax at all?

I was told it's a technicality if a car was ordered for a customer it had to be 31st August but showroom cars were exempt. I think it's £450 does that sound right?

Yep - it’s £140 plus an extra £310 for the first 5 years.

Ref showroom cars - perhaps they are registered by the dealers to avoid the 31/08/2018 ‘crusher’ deadline for homologation?

Typical- here’s me thinking I’d got one over on the taxman for once. I’ve got two other vehicles at top rate of ved and had overlooked the second year tax rise. It wouldn’t have stopped me getting the car which is why I didn’t look into it properly but it’s a bit annoying with all these big diesels paying £20/ year ved.
Gah! Serves me right.

Agree it's a rip off given its a relatively clean car

I don't think the £310 supplement is anything to do with emissions as it is the same for all cars over £40000 regardless of emissions.
Its all about the corners. :A610

Yep - it’s just ripping off folk who work hard enough to afford a car costing over £40k. The same folk who therefore provide most tax income already. And cars which in many cases are greener and should be incentivised. Cynical taxation.
