Yes I think it looks amazing only available in Europe version or if you build one Alpine sports blue.

It took me a lot of man Hrs to build it the rear is the worst and it’s also very hard to get the panel and bumper fit right if you want one l would do another one, a year to build your car and about £25/28,000 depending on spec, it’s not just the kit.

Yours does look awesome, I’d kick myself if I commissioned you to build me one and a genuine one came up for sale! I take it I’d have to find a decent car to start with for you to build?

I always wanted one but f first you have to find one, secondly in the UK they were only available in metallic red and in reality they are now worth so much money that you would not drive it that much you would be worried about putting on the milage getting stone chips ect, you would do the odd event and like most of them now they are just garage queens.
You need to look at it a different way, that’s why l built mine. You get what you want, you are not worried about it, I drive mine all the time it is my favoured car, hill climbs, track, events, just generally every where. Where ever you go people just look at it talking pictures, want a chat it is a special car.
You would not do all that if it was an original, you can modify it upgrade things again you would not do that to an original car you would devalue it. So now I would not want an original.

That’s all fair points but for me an original would be preferable. If I had a good GTA already I would consider it though. I bid up to £29500 for the last Le-mans which I was happy to pay (+commission) and I have thought about Vince’s A610 but I think I’d regret buying it as it’s not really what I want!

Every body is different, the things I have put this car through there is no way I would have done it in an original. I also have a 610 it’s a totally different car more refined long distance Gt car but it handles really well and fast, but the Gta is lighter and more involving to drive.
I think l would get fairly strong money for my car, you have to remember that Renault did not design it it was a custom house was selling them and then they bought the shape and modified existing cars with the panels.

Plenty of cheap GTAs out there if you want to build one.

You might even tempt Si21 to sell his almost complete silver replica with a strong offer.
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart

Had a look for si21 looks like he’s not been on here for over a year. Is there a build thread on it?
I might be tempted by a project but would want one with the normal rot issues sorted. There was a yellow one for sale a few months ago which had a resto by rats a while ago which looked tempting.

When you put all the big rubber on they grip like mad, after I have finished my winter project car which is probably the hardest car I have ever worked on, my lemans will be receiving a major power upgrade to take advantage of the extra grip, but will remain in it’s present form for next year.
Any thing that can be bought and fitted is easy, fabricating and modifying is mega time consuming and hard.

I always thought my gta handled really well so with big rubber I’m sure they’d be awesome. I,m no stranger to full on projects but time is what I’m short of, lots of work on a new house takes most of my spare time and own/run my workshop Ren7oaks Renault specialist. I’m also into old fords and built a Range Rover monster truck from ground up ukmonstertrucks.co.uk (which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea) but along with family life I,d need 48 hours days to do something full on.

Done what your going through several times with houses, you won’t do a lemans it’s mega time to get the body right, mine will still need a few bits re finishing next year to make it perfect, but will do it when I upgrade the engine. I have taken on a build of a 1970 Citroen Ds Rally car recreation, short wheel base it makes a Alpine look simple.

I've got a solid Atmo shell in my garage at home.Just needs a passenger door pillar repair. It's mostly stripped and ripe for a bodykit.
I've also got paint and bodywork facilities now on a small scale in another unit.
Could build you one from the ground up with all the RATS' upgrades for engine and the rest.
