C.A.R. will be attending the Classic Nostalgia event at Shelsley Walsh. This year it's on the weekend of the 28th/29th July. I've been going for several years and always enjoy the event. The only negative is that, last year, they stopped allocating specific display areas to car clubs. This meant trying to arrive at the same time or doing some later car movements to be parked together. Not a big deal in practice though.

You could speak to John Sweet, the events coordinator at C.A.R. (also on here), about this event.
That's another great suggestion, John.

I'll have a look into more details on it. It might be a bit better suited to our Solihull Alpine Centre, but I'll check how we stand with internal politics and come back to you.

It would be great to get the new A110 on the hill climb but I'm not sure if I could do our car justice!

Barry "Whizzo" Williams may be available.
An accomplished racing driver with links to Renault too. Barry won the UK Brands Hatch round of the Europa Cup, a support race to the GP... which Nigel Mansell won.

Looks like there's a couple of volunteers available for a drive in the new car.

Just so you know, if any of you ever get the chance to drive the new A110 on a karting track, like I did in Dieppe... definitely do it!

With your mention of Karting tracks, in the 1980s I used to race a Formula E, 250cc Superkart. Not to be confused, by the way, with the current electric Formula E street racers or the electric e-karts.
Count me in as one of the many volunteers if an opportunity ever arose with the A110 :)

Updated information today from C.A.R. in that the parking arrangements have been changed such that C.A.R. will have a dedicated parking space.

Feedback from a customer delivered end of March in France.
They all tell it's worth waiting...

Google translate :

Good evening,
without warranty but it seems logical to me compared to my experience: first to order at the Marseille concession, a payment by transfer in stride and first car delivered on 30/03/2018.
Since two other cars being delivered in addition to that of the concession.
I do not think I had the right, but against I never dragged (booking the first day or the app was active ....) so small number .....
Already 900 km on the clock, only happiness. The limit is not at the level of the car but of the driver ...
And also men in blue who scrutinize me when I meet them.
I hope to keep my license for a while ....
By the way, she's already working hard in normal mode, I'm just starting to try the sport mode, but I'm not a "pilot" ....
cordially

Anyone familiar with the crash regs in Oz? I thought they mandated side impact airbags? So how did Alpine get around that?

Great day at Alpine Centre Manchester yesterday, with the pre-production A110 on-site. It was short notice so I only had chance to invite our list of reservations and enquiries. Next time I've got one on-site, I'll let you all know, so you can come down.

We received nothing but positive feedback on the car and even had a couple of people changing their mind on colour from Bleu Alpine, after seeing the Blanc Solaire...which is stunning in the flesh!ImageImageImageImageImage

Is the above pre-production car going around all the dealers?

I am on the reservation list but haven't heard anything yet from Solihull.
Its all about the corners. :A610

It's available for all dealers to get hold of but I managed to get in there first for Manchester's reservations and enquiries.

Feel free to message me your details and I'll contact Solihull for you to check where everything is up to.
