Looks more like it. They should have a much more hardcore version for the road to tempt the lotus boys.

Starting to get interested, but will wait until the dust settles and looking for big fat looks and 300+Hp then may sell the 610 for the above if it materialises, Patience is the word.
But they do look good but the normal one looks a bit to pretty to me.

We’re already here

Hopefully they make one with even less Wt by removing most of the wireing loom and geeky stuff, it’s a small car no central locking no electric windows all that is required is good engine management A/C, ABS, and limited slip dif, and a good stereo. All the uther electronic aides removed If you want the geeky stuff it’s on your phone. Just down to the driver, if you are doing right you shouldn’t have time to look at all that cra...p anyway.

Looks like a real success, but it might be victim of it.
Example of 2 dealers in France (there's around 20, though...) :
Dijon 70 orders.
Deauville 90 orders.
They increased capacity but, from what I heard, capacity is only around 200/month.
Means all PE deliveries will be ending by November...
No orders possible; all you can do is some reservation through the app. It's only reservation though.
The only real orders are the ones for the PE.
They're on a 5000 resevations including large part of the PE.
A reservation today, means an order in summer and delivery end of 2019.
Some potential customers might give up, i think.

Looking at the twitter feed David Twohig the chief engineer for the project just left Renault which could be a shame for future development.

He's left for Byton chinese EV company as vice president !
Probably they made a "nice" offer he could not refuse.
A pity for Alpine losing such a talented engineer.

I read Michael Van Der Sande is leaving too...to JLR
....a bit of an exodus... both MDs and the Chief Engineer going within weeks...

difficult to read whats going on there. May be just that production and first car delivered means a natural conclusion to a project so time to move on. In Bernard Ollivier's case it was retirement yet he still is being photographed with the cars so clearly still has the passion. Maybe they all think the rumoured SUV project is not for them..... or Alpine. All of these guys are/were following our twitter feed by the way!
