Postby LiamMcShane » Fri Oct 14, 2005 3:22 pm

Another part number request!! :?
Anybody know the part numbers for the oil level and oil pressure sensors? Also, do you need to remove the sump to replace the level sensor?

Hi Liam,
Don't know the part numbers- see the literature section- the parts book is there for all GTA/610's. It is the real Renault one and seems to be current (the part it got wrong for me is still listed incorrectly in the current parts Renault system).

I recently changed the level sensor on my 610 (unnecessarily as it turned out) it wasn't too bad once I had the a/c compressor off, but you'll need a variety of open ended spanners as there is no clearance between one side and the block. Ring spanners won't go over it and an open one needs to be a good fit to you can loosen it one flat at a time.
No need to remove the sump.
I'd offer you a good (but s/h) 610 sump level sensor, but the plug on it is different on the GTA.
I'm about the change the oil pressure switch- this looked straightforward, last time I saw it, again behind the a/c compressor........this will cure the problem that made me change the level sensor- don't you love these cars!

Cheers Lee. I'll have a go. Has anyone done it on a GTA?
