Sport Spider Trophy (Euro) Chassis plate

Postby dalla1982 » Mon Oct 02, 2017 1:54 pm

Hi Guys.

I am about to buy a european Sport Spider Trophy racer.
Trouble is, i cannot locate any chassis plate. As far as i am aware, it is supposed to be behind where the passenger seat would be, and it should look like this:

Issue is, this car is lacking it, however above pic is from a UK spider. So question is, does anyone know where the chassis plate are located on a Euro Spider Trophy?

Thanks
Dennis

It should be where you said, but check the drivers seat too. Not easy to read. I remember mine had the number repeated by a stamp in the chassis rail behind the seats, (will try and dig out a photo later).
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Thanks a lot. Only plaque is a rivetted on plaque above the gear shifter. It says something along "Autoru #12" or something.

Kind regards

The location is the same uk or Euro car. Behind the RH seat. Plaque by the gear lever is just the team or series number.

Maybe it is a car built from spares or a new central chassic so there would be no chassis number.

Big discount required if no Id plate.

this is where it was repeated on mine, could not see this until the seat was out.....
Here the black is the floor panel and the grooved cross member is a seat mounting point. (rear of the two)

Nah it is being sold in Europe by a German guy. But I am not really interested without the plaque.

What would a fair price be for a car missing the type plate?

If a car has no number it could smell like a bad goat cheese, well avoided :ugeek:

Well you can buy a LHD cup car in the UK with a plaque for less than 20K euro and the trophy cars are lower spec so maybe 15K euro or less.
