never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

its unclear, but as UK deliveries are slated for a year later I am guessing they are RHD although, as Stephen mentioned, LHD is an option. minor detail when ordering a new car, not important like the colour!

I'd say very little chance of these selling for profit if 2000 are available. A lot of similarities with the launch of the Alfa 4c which some speculated on making a profit and that fell flat even with a carbon tub! I'm sure the car will be exciting when it gets here and I'll be interested in one but it's very early and so little info to commit.

Trevor.

Big MVS could well be the first.....

....to break a new Alpine :wave

I really can't see this selling particularly well in the UK, I'm surprised they've even gone down the RHD route considering they haven't on the Talisman (which I rather like) and the new Espace, both of which look fabulous on French roads and would probably do ok in the UK considering Renault's better reputation these days and the sales success of the new Clio, Captur and Kadjar. I do suspect however that the Alpine will sell pretty well in Europe (especially France obviously) as the European's do seem to be less into the 'premium' shiiite (Audi, BMW and Merc). Realistically, I'd be gobsmacked to see even 100 Alpine's a year sold in the UK, especially if we are talking £55-60k. Might have one at £20k when they are 3 years old though :shhh

Do you know how the 1955 cars were allocated between the various countries?

I think I'm there with you John. However, in 4 years time I might have gone off the idea or something else might have come along like another restoration project of an original Alpine. :thinking :thinking

Sorry mate; I don't know at all. I assume the marketing guys must have study every countries' market potential, with a lot allocated to France I presume.
Regarding UK, for sure it will be UK RHD as they expect to sell it in Japan as well where the brand is still very popular.
So all cars allocated to UK will be RHD.
