Spider Starter Motor

Postby davidmt » Sat Oct 15, 2016 6:20 pm

Does anyone have any good photos or part numbers for the Spider starter motor. I put the car up on the ramp today but will need to strip out a fair bit of kit to get good access/visibility of the starter.

I am going to try and get a high torque motor built.

Thanks

77 01 499 609 is the correct part number..... I recall just getting a Megane one exchange from a local spares place and it fitted, had a bracket on the back that could not be fitted to the new one but the front bolts hold it tightly.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Been discussing with a director at CCW Tools and they have produced this:

https://www.ccw-tools.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=78166

Evidently it is the same as:

https://www.ccw-tools.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=44132

But the opposite hand and now it is being made so I can fit to my Spider. Just sharing in case anyone else is interested.
