Congrats to Alpine

Postby mellowyellowa610 » Sun Jun 19, 2016 4:04 pm

Already in mentioned in the Motorsports section but deserves a thread here.

The Alpine team had an amazing 24 hours of Le Mans winning the LMP2 Class and finishing 5th overall. :Cheer :Cheer

The race itself was a real classic with the last lap having one of the most epic/gut wrenching finishes ever in motorsport. Exciting times for Alpine, just a shame they aren't currently running with a Renault badged engine. But definitely a brand building triumph.

I like this quote:

Gustavo Menezes: "My knowledge of Le Mans was limited to the videos I had seen on the Internet, but it was one of my life's ambitions to race here. Winning on my first appearance is totally incredible."

very much a pro. but mainly in single seaters.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.
