Holley carburettor kit for Alpine A310

Postby Øyvind » Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:20 pm

Hello.

Got a JL Engineering Holley Kit for my A310 recently and since I'm not a mechanic I have some questions.

The installation guide is a bit vague about the throttle wire and the return spring connections. Does anyone have a picture of the setup? Return spring pulling exactly opposite of the throttle cable is the best, I’ve read, and there are special brackets for this purpose. Any experiences anyone?

Regards,
Øyvind

The big Mvs is right, my holly set up is different but all I can say is that it took me ages to get the right spring to give me the right constant pressure on the pedal throughout the full range. In the end I used a large fine Spring from the carb back to a hook near the distributor. I found shorter springs going forward gave an increasing pressure on throttle, and on a long drive that became annoying.
