Nice result that then, a solid 25 bhp over a standard car running a bar and and a good deal more torque. Think my car made 240/280 at 15 psi without injectors and remap so plenty of improvement shown :0)

240 bhp 280 ft/lbs :0). Fuel pressure upped somewhat. Always felt it was an optimistic one. Felt massively faster when the 3.0 went in.

rite so .
I've seen many running on the map sensor fudge mod and they are all feel nowhere near as urgent.
Martin has done a great job on this and I think we have enough data to back it up having spent the last 4 or 5 years on the same test gear .
The whole point of this one was we had the time to do the back to back within a week and regardless of the moneyshot figures saw a 25% increase for just bolt on mods .KUDOS MoFo :pray

Firstly, apologies for not posting anything for so long but in essence there was not a lot to say until recently. F43 failed its MOT in September on rear brakes and one of the h/b cables and it took the nearest Renault specialist 3 months to obtain a cable. Thanks due here to John Bishop of the local Renault dealer and his brother David for their kindly intervention and help in guiding the repairer through Simonauto website.
Car was back with me in Dec and first opportunity to use was Boxing day, Went to see friend in nearby Hartlebury and returned in a snowstorm and discovered that gta headlamps are only slightly better than gloworms.
In Feb car went to RATS for engine upgrades as covered admirably by Lee in his posts and I collected the car Good Friday. Now I'm no tech guy but what I can say is that the car feels much stronger, has plenty of grunt and is coming on boost earlier, in short it goes like stink. They say power corrupts but I say that the thought of new cams and 300bhp is calling to me like the siren song.
Must start saving the pennies. If anyone's interested car will be at RATS open day in July.

Regards

Terry

80/100w bulbs work well.

Obviously not for road use :angel

If anyone asks, it's for a GroupB car!
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Should have mentioned in the last post that Lee thought the engine upgrades would give 230/240 bhp yet he managed about 255 so many thanks Lee (and Martin) for the good work.

Glad to see the old Girl going so well and getting the attention she deserves.

Re headlights- definitely worth trying a HID kit. Eurocarparts offers a pretty cheap one....

Cammed up and ready to pop it all back together after a spruce up of the engine and bay .Checked oil pump and housing in block and all looks good to go for that 300 target with a new blower spec .

Might be worth trying LED bulbs (yes really, I didn't believe it either) , HID retrofit is now an MOT failure (if they spot it) LED isn't as the rules specifically say no to HID, silent on LED...therefore legal for now.

Same kind of cost.
