bulgaralpine a110

hello,

I'm new on this forum. I really love the A110. I want to buy a A110 but the one I can buy is a bulgaralpine.
I have a few questions:
1. Is the only difference from a Renault alpine that the bulgaralpine doesnt has 4 frontlights, but only 2?

2. I looked on internet and there are only 160 bulgaralpines made. Is a bulgaralpine more or less worth than a normal alpine. Because i can't find any bulgaralpines on the internet to see what they are worth.

My A110 knowledge is pretty poor to be honest so johnb is probably your best bet here. Overall if it's in good condition and less than £20,000 I think you will be fine.

I don’t know what makes you think that Martin :!: :!: :) but I was going to add what limited information I have about the Bulgaralpine.

According to my copy of Christian Descombes ‘Berlinettes Alpine’ about 200 cars were made between 1968 and 1970 with either 1108 cc or 1300 cc engines. The production split between the two engine sizes isn’t mentioned.

With such low production numbers it’s going to be highly unlikely that you’ll find any for sale to compare prices. I would have thought that the French cars will always demand the highest prices but who knows, because of the rarity of the Bulgaralpine, what prices they might fetch if any were for sale. I think that Martin is about right with his estimate but that might only buy a reasonable 1108 cc car. I would expect that 1300 cc cars would demand a higher price than the 1108 cc cars.

Regarding the number of headlights, this extract from the Christian Descombes book shows a 4 headlight car rallied by the Tschubrikov brothers.

A few clicks on Google brought up this website mentioning the Tschubrikov brothers (with different spelling). The car on the left of the two yellow and black cars having the same registration as the photo in the Descombes book.

My guess, and purely a guess, is that perhaps the 2 headlight version was for the 1108 cc cars and the 4 headlight for the 1300cc cars.
