Mike, Avantime Owners UK administrator, has received an email from Renault saying there will be a parade lap for all cars in the Classic Display........ Subject to racing timetable !!!

Well..... Got my confirmation of a place in the display area, as have many Avantine owners .....
I hope there are gonna be Many Alpines sitting along side us ??

I got my confirmation as well today, so at least one Alpine A310 is going to be there.

Got mine yesterday also, It would be nice to know the numbers of each model accepted & total allowed

Well that's about it for Renault World series after this year.
Already announced that FR3.5 is finishing after this season, the news this weekend is that the Eurocup FR2.0 is going on the ELMS bill next year as will the Renaultsport Trophy on certain dates (not sure where else they will be running yet).
Jamie at RPM is trying to continue the World Series- Without Renault- but it will be tough with no manufacturer support to keep a top level single seater championship going given the amount of choices out there.

I don't know how you feel about this, but I think this is a great shame!
At least with you there was some certainty of acceptance when matching
a show's criteria and, no doubt, many of us are grateful to you for this. I
know that I am! Now, it's a lottery, where even if you have a tidy car, or
two, there's no certainty at all and just how much notice the new
organisers will be giving us is equally uncertain?

At a time when there are several competing shows, near the end of the
season, this isn't good enough. Considering that we're potentially
bringing valuable cars at our own expense and would probably not
attend their event unless displaying, their statement is far too woolly...

why would anyone want to ask any questions..... the event has finished, they had one alpine attend and 99% of RAOC didn't go as the organisation was given to someone else to do and taken away from the club who's been doing it since day 1 all those 10 years ago..... not that it matters now because its been canned and I think most pics of collectors area will be of clios and meggies.

roll on le mans classic! get some laps in on the big circuit with the spider and racing Lola T294 and a Sauber C6 for us this time around
