World series by Renault Silverstone 2015

I wonder is this the same format of getting tickets & collector area applications for the other events? If it is does any one know how the cars/ displays are aranged, by model, type etc.

I don't know how you feel about this, but I think this is a great shame!
At least with you there was some certainty of acceptance when matching
a show's criteria and, no doubt, many of us are grateful to you for this. I
know that I am! Now, it's a lottery, where even if you have a tidy car, or
two, there's no certainty at all and just how much notice the new
organisers will be giving us is equally uncertain?

At a time when there are several competing shows, near the end of the
season, this isn't good enough. Considering that we're potentially
bringing valuable cars at our own expense and would probably not
attend their event unless displaying, their statement is far too woolly...

Would sending a message via the WSR Facebook page be a good

you normally have to pay for collectors parking at all events anyway

Guessing it must be something to do with ROC if on their facebook page and the forms posted to a private address.

Still heard nothing officially not even a link to the form.

Guess Renault weren't happy with how it was run before

On the upside free to concentrate on Origine RS instead

It's actually the Renault Sport Club Facebook group that are organising things this year. They are friendly with Luke from Renault UK. Renault UK, Renault Sport Club and Twingo 133 net were all together at French Car Show this year so they must be going for the younger market.

Shame with Renault France pushing the 60th Anniversary of Alpine with a "near production" reveal at Le Mans this year seems a missed opportunity for WSR.

Will just get on with Origine RS and don't forget the 60th Anniversary in Dieppe in September

Sorry if I gave the impression ROC had any involvement - I only mentioned their Facebook group because the link to the forms had been posted on there by a member. Incidentally most of the posts expressed similar sentiments to those on here.

I do fancy the Dieppe weekend, Stephen. It's hardly any further than Goodwood! Next season's football fixtures are out on 17th June, so will know then if I can go - so long as it's not the Manchester derby or a top team, I am prepared to miss a match

so they will have a big display of their target market... clios meganes and twingos..... FCS deja vu......

if anyone is interested in going to WSR Le Mans I have the collectors area entry for available organised by CAR Le Mans I know for a fact there will be a big turnout of Alpines and classic Renaults no fear of being outnumbered by clios and meggys here....

We know that. It is general admission I was referring to, not much for a major motorsport event but will definitely deter the casual curious family day out type punter who were the bulk of attendees at UK WSbR events.

I have already got tickets as it should be two days of good motorsport and have already sent in my application for my A310 to be displayed in the collectors area - if accepted could this be the sole Alpine in there?

No idea but I'm sure there will be a few. There will probably be a list up somewhere.

I've put my application in also, just have to wait and see.
