My old GTA. Getting to be the RAOC bike nowadays.

It's a solid enough old thing, enjoy Alpine ownership!

Unfortunately on the way home yesterday it broke down twice.

First occasion was attributed to the air intake hose to the turbo having perished around the clip and not providing sufficient air through. This was 'bodged' with a drinks can and a full set of silicone hoses is going to be the way forward.

Second occasion was a misfire - although looking on the other posts on the forum there's a strong charge that could be related to injectors or injector plugs - so will look at those this evening.

Sorry to hear about the break down, never a good start. The drinks can wasn't me by the way before anyone mentions it.

They all seem to split there so yes you are probably best with a new set, I have a set on ebay but the turbo to air filter is also damaged although usable to a degree.

The misfire was mentioned in the ad wasn't it? It never did it when I had it (about 3 years ago) so it's a new one on me.

Hope you find the problem.

Thanks BIG_MVS.

Didn't make it clear, but the drinks can bodge was done by myself and the RAC guy and the car was fine for the next 170 miles. It had cleared the slight hesitation issues that was in the advert so I was hoping it was quite a simple fix. Alas that wasn't the case, although injector/injector plugs now appears to be current issue. Will do a bit more digging around on that over the weekend.
