Had a good clear out of the garage this weekend and put loads of bits on Ebay, hopefully they will be of interest to improve your Alpine or to keep as spares.

I knew the alpine came with some white gloves to put on when changing a tyre, but never knew also golf clubs as well !

Tiger Woods gave me those clubs when I beat him at Lytham St Annes 6 and 4. True Story*. An utter bargain and suits the rear folding Alpeen seats for the discerning enthusiast.

I think so Paul .... that's why Renault could supply, as a standard accessory for the GTA, a Tow Bar.

I don't suppose you have a GTA throttle cable in your Alpine box of doom do you?

Not 100% sure if I need one or not, mine has started sticking, so need to get a proper look at it before I condemn it, just covering my options in advance, just in case....................

Check your pedal box Bob. They tend to stick at both ends

Thanks, gonna try to have a look at it at the weekend before I buy anything, the butterfly valve and the sprung wheel thingummybobber are returning to position just fine, I think the cable is dragging at the exit point in the engine bay somewhere, a little wiggling frees it off, so maybe a kink somewhere.

It's been fine up to now but started after I took it to bits, so it's either an assembly error or a big coincidence.............

Hi Bob - Hopefully you will find the issue and sort it. If not ask Lee as he has replaced a few accelerator cables in the past.

They must be crimped into place in situe as I could not find a way of getting an old one out without cutting it?

Yes ,you have to bend the metal end that goes into the spindle .They are straight new otherwise you can't feed it through .Also you have to take off the sleeving on the outer at the lump end before you push it through the pipe .
Bending an old one straight to get it out usually means it snaps
