Good spot John. It's SteveC's car who recently joined, I'm bemused why he didn't advertise it on here first?

Looks like reasons for the sale are obvious:

It pains me to be selling this car so soon, but domestic reasons are forcing the issue.

I've been told its not happening

We have all been there Steve!

Hopefully you will have one again when she has seen sense.

Yup, it's mine.

I'm away in Singapore this week with work, a job for today if I get chance is to get it on Pistonheads and eBay classified too. It would kill me to have to put it up for eBay auction as Rotbots blue one went up twice and didn't meet reserve second time.

Anybody know what happened to the red one advertised recently on Pistonheads for £19k that's now not there? Did it sell?

Fact is I'm stupid busy with work most of the time and also need to do some work to my house, so it's been pointed out to me, quite rightly actually, that I don't really have space in my life at the moment for a toy like this.

Reason I haven't advertised it on here is that looking through previous ad's I didn't see many that appeared to sell here as we all already have one..

As for the windscreen washers.. No clue currently. I need to get the instrument binacle off and give all the wiring and connectors a good look over and clean in there, with any luck I'll stumble accross the cause in there.

Not sure what happened to the 19k one. If it did sell for that we are all in clover and Lee Metters will be crying in his soup.

Don't think it has sold though to be honest. £15k I think is still premium for a decent A610. In my opinion you are on the money with your asking price. Good luck with the sale, hope it finds a new enthusiastic owner who will finish it off.

I'm not crying yet...at least I don't know that I have to.
Is the green one still for sale too, that one looks really mint.
Now turning to Steves one, the missing a/c is it really missing or just not working?
I got rid of mine for similar reasons to you (too many projects) but I do miss it and I now have somewhere to store it too...

Pump and pipe work in the engine bay are missing. I think the rest is there but I can't be 100% sure as I've not looked at that job in detail yet. It was way down my list to be honest.

Can anyone suggest the best places for me to be advertising this car? I realise there is only a small target market for these so I need to make sure anyone who is interested sees the advert.

Its also clear that the price is going to be negotiable... :shhh

I'm working in France next week, so I may get some help from one of the guys out there to help me advertise it in French over there, but I know my name will be mud here if it goes abroad. :down

If any one can suggest any good leads I'd be greatly appreciative. Thank you

It will not be a quick sale ...time of year also will not be helping .I have had just one serious inquiry on the GTA I've got for sale .Ebay, pistonheads etc but you're already there.
Very specialised car but does not have the 'love' of a lot of others of a similar vein .Go figure :Cheer

Yep as brother Clee suggests it's a slow burn selling an Alpine.

I've sold a few over the years and they have gone via here, PH and Ebay so your doing the right thing. They also seem to sell better March/April time when you get what I call "Box Tickers" who have always fancied one then decide to take the plunge at the start of the good weather.

Are you on Carandclassic.co.uk as well?

Be a shame if it needs to go to France but end of the day it's your car so if needs must give it a go. They do need to be cheap though in RHD for the frenchies. Leboncoin.fr is France's version of Autotrader I guess (worth a try on the UK version too?) so start there.

It sure is causing stir in Calais.

In three weeks advertised in the UK I've had a grand total of one enquiry. In one week for 10k Euro on Leboncoin I've had 8 enquiries, 7 of them serious. One of them from as far as Czech Republic. I've had three offers, all of which I have declined for the time being.

I think its very likely this car will be going to France. I know my name here will be mud, but unless we can find an Englishman to buy it then im afraid its inevitable.

I have to say though I do find this car infurating.. :MoreSarc Today Ive done about 130 miles over 5 separate trips (been to the Historic Bicester Scramble and to catch up with a few friends), given it a bit of a hoon a few times, and been smiling evey mile of it. The car has (apparently) returned 28mpg and hasn't missed a beat. On a day like this I want to keep it. But my need to pay my builder is sadly greater. :up
