Check your settings to accept Cookies for this site. if you don't have the cookies you will get issues like having to keep logging back in.. It may do it once just to set the cookie but after that it should be ok..
Anyone else using Mozila, and having this issue??

Are "ToDo" list grows each day, and we have to prioritise, if there is something to need urgent, then I could forward this to you directly, just let me know.
Thanks..

Quick update:

I have had a couple of people mention that they are having issues with being logged out of the website even though they are using the "Log me on automatically each visit" option when logging in.

After some testing, we have found that the reasoning beind this is usually due to people accessing the site from a different domain than the default of http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk that the forums is set up to issue cookies from. Unfortunately this is a limitation of the phpBB software - as it only allows cookies to be delivered from the one domain.

I have applied a fix for this, and all traffic is now being redirected to the default domain of http://www.renaultalpine.co.uk, no matter what domain you originally accessed the site from. To save confusion however, I would to suggest that you attempt to update any bookmarks to the default domain if you can.

I am also aware of an issue using the login form on the top left of the page in IE v9 and below. I have not yet had time to look into this issue although i suspect it is due to the template's ability to show/hide the password entered by holding your mouse pointer over the little 'eye' icon. If you use the login link on the top right however, all seems to work properly.

I would however strongly suggest that any users using Internet Explorer versions prior to v10 consider updating their browsers if possible.

Dear both,

Is there anyway that the links that have been placed in the various posts that point to parts of the temp site http:212... etc can be recovered, as I think those links are now lost?

Thanks,
Martin

Quick Update

We have been getting some awesome feedback on bugs and suggestions on how to better enhance the site, so thanks heaps guys!

So we can attempt to keep the site updates a small an impact on the forums as possible. I have added a new forum for Website Help and Questions. its right here viewforum.php?f=15 - and you will see a link to it at the bottom of the forum index.

WHen your reporting an issue your having with the site however, please try and include he details of your device and browser to help us track down the issue - also.. including a screenshot of the issue can help heaps too. - if your not sure how to do that, there is some awesome step-by-step instructions for most devices here. http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

Suggestions

Postby Miles » Sat Jun 28, 2014 1:24 am

From iPad suggestion.
Move members area up the hierarchy or it is in danger of not being used, you can't even see it on the iPad unless you scroll down.
Secondly could we have a todo list for each member. Ie so you can snag your car of its faults and cross them of as you go. I'm a lists man but keep losing them, so end up constantly looking for my bits of paper.

Perhaps a detailing (cleaning , polishing )section on how to prepare your car for a show contest, preservation winter service etc. To what the judges are looking for at said shows.

Now going really out there how about a combined for sale section cars , spare parts new parts etc from this site and the CAR site. Might mend some bridges. Let's face it we all need spares from time to time or perhaps a new toy. Would aid our engineers to MOFO,Rats, Paul sage and JLEngineering and dismantlers MVS etc larger audience has to be a bonus. (Greater buying power at least)

Also what happened to the useful links like Simon autos, Paul sage, rats, JLEngineering etc.

Finally we need a red Gta smiley too
Just a thought.

Dave but love the new site.

Can we have an actual calendar that the event get linked into (by the poster), so we can see when things are happening in the year easily?

Thanks,
Martin
