V6 Renault 4

Postby The Saint » Fri May 30, 2014 4:53 pm

I had a friend at work tell me about a Gumball rally and a V6 Renault 4!! I did not believe him until I found this...

Check out the videos on this site... Personally I am not a fan, too much like a brick... but its a definite one off!!

I think its one of those " Marmite " things.... Top marks for doing it. Just goes to prove you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

I prefer the second one, it's a genuine 4L with a BX gti engine, and I guess gearbox plus some beefing up. I love the fact they have welded the back doors up, I guess to give it some stiffness, From my memory of 4Ls they aren't that stiff and have the overall impression of being made from biscuit tins. Even 140 house in that chassis would be a real handful....Would be nice to see it doing more than crawling around a car park though.
The first is a Clio V6 with a few bits of a 4 shell stretched over its structure, seems a bit of a waste of two otherwise decent cars. The creators seem to take themselves very seriously too. "I'm continuously creative"....
Modest folks.
Thanks for sharing this Vince, made me smile.
