Stanford Hall set to host new classic car event

Postby The Saint » Sun Feb 02, 2014 9:25 pm

Ok, not sure if this event is at the same time as another event, but as we don't seem to have many midland events, I thought I would add one.
Take a peek at this web site..

http://www.gingerbeerpromotions.com/?page_id=614

I think it would be a great day out, even if we don't have a plot to display the cars.. ( but I will ask!! never done this kind of thing before!! )
Anyway take a look and let me know if you would be interested and if the numbers are worth it, I will try to get something arranged.. or at least "try" for a reduced entry fee?? or a place we can all park together etc????

Any thoughts appreciated..

Just a quick update...

I sent an email to the event organisers, to see if I could get a small plot to display any cars that may arrive... this is the reply I got..

Vince,

Thank you for your enquiry. We would be delighted to have your club along and I will set aside an area for you.

I will get back to nearer the event with the ground plan.

Regards,

Phil Ward

**** End ****

So even if no one else goes, I will be taking my GTA Turbo "Friend driving it", and the A610... ( If painted )
The link above shows last year, and this does look good for the one day.. and it's central so all can get here!!
Just let me know if you are thinking about attending, so I have some kind of numbers for the guy, when he asks me later..
Enjoy..

Thanks guys... I will update more once this guy gets back to me... but this does look a good day out... its a good way ahead, so plenty of time for others to make their minds up.

It's about 144 miles from me, mostly along the dreaded A14, but if you'll
accept a 2009 Laguna 205GT Coupé, then I'll pencil it in. It looks like I
could also bring my dog along rather than leave her at home...

Steve

Hi Vince

Did you manage to get this organised? If so, it's quite a short blast down the A5 (appropriate road number eh?) for me - any room left on the stand for the R5?

Hi Rob and welcome.
Unfortunatly, the organisers never got back to me, and I am not chasing them either. So it looks like a no go for this one.. But if anyone wants to go then i am sure i can arrange a sort of mini meet for us..
This place is right on my door, so can attend in afew mins notice... just depends on who wants to go..??.

I dont have any tickets or stuff so a bit of a let down... plus my A610 is not painted... and the GTA is giving me clutch issues...
But let me know if you still want to go and I will meet up..

Thanks anyway Vince

I was just looking for an event to enjoy in the sunshine, unlike the miserable Saturday I spent with you all at Prescott! If anyone else is interested in going I would be happy to meet up, but I wouldn't drag you out just on my account.

I will be driving down the road on 6th July to Cars in the Park in Lichfield - if anyone else is local & fancies joining me, maybe we can meet in advance & park together at least.

Anything else going on in the Midlands this summer? I hope to go to the RATS open day, but not got any other dates in the diary yet
