Alpine A610 for sale

Postby PaulyA610 » Sat Feb 01, 2014 6:38 pm

Seen this on pistonheads one of the members of CAR i would say by the sticker. Not too sure of the recaro seats and the carpet has been changed to black, but she looks like it has been looked after.

Don't think he's in East Sussex but Barry used to have a windscreen sticker just like that.

That's Paul Godfrey's as far as I know (ex Barry Jayes).

Looks like he now owns a green A610 which I assume is the L plate one that Plug550 was selling from here. Could be wrong though...

The last time I saw Barry's car was at Renault Cannock in August 2012 when he sold the car to Paul. At that time the car only had the flying A on the rear (I have photos from the event) whereas the Pistonhead ad shows 'Alpine'.

The ad sounds like Paul's collection and East Sussex is the right area and the phone number is Paul's. Could still be Barry's previous car with changed badging but I thought it was in a condition not to have needed an interior retrim. Could just be another one of Paul's extensive collection. :A610 :A610 :A610 :A310 :A310 :A310 :GTA :GTA :GTA

I take back what I said after looking at photos again. :thinking :thinking

I was confusing the car with another, same colour A610 that was at the event. Looking at the photos again, Barry's car did have the same windscreen sticker as the Pistonhead advert so I'm now pretty sure that the above assumptions that it is Barry's old car are correct.

It's definitely Barry's old A610. The other red A610 was Peter Whitehouse's (M428 TAB). I visited Barry when he was changing the carpets and front seats in his car and he also changed the material of the rear seats too. I still have his old front seats (in very good condition actually) and rear seat material. The car does look different without the body coloured louvred rear hatch.

You're quite right John. It was Peter's car that I was confusing it with. :crazy :crazy :crazy

Looks like I was wrong with the Green 610 purchase.

Mystery then because Green A610's are few and far between, not guessing again as I'm starting to look foolish.

Hopefully see you and your green A610 at a meet this year Plug?

As you have deduced Mr Godfrey is having a bit of a clear out:

Red A610 = Paul Godfrey ex Barry Jayes (Barry now has the yellow ex Tayabli car lower mileage, better condiiton, no accident damage etc)
Green A610 = Paul Godfrey ex Tom Mautner Old Oak (in Espace green, contramarque car with third brake light, reversing sensors and some other odd bits, sold cheap due to impending rust but I suspect it was nothing worse than they all have, as spotted by Phildini)
Trafic, Twingo GT, Vel Satis Turbo x 2, Clio V6 Proto Ph2, Vel Satis 3.5, Avantime, Alpine A610, GTA Atmo x 3, GTA Turbo x 3, R5 Gordini Turbo Mid Engine, Alpine A310 4cyl, Alpine A110, Yellow Smart
