Dieppe’s Finest, at Goodwood Circuit

Brought to you jointly by v6Clio.net and Renault Alpine Owners Club, ‘Origine RS’ are delighted to be working with Goodwood Motor Circuit to host an Alpine & Renault Sport Track Day based car show. – All Dieppe built or developed sports cars from the 1950’s to the modern day are welcome.

Goodwood circuit is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form, having been beautifully restored in 1998. This picturesque venue is steeped in heritage and has witnessed some of motor racing’s greatest heroes in action, including Sir Jackie Stewart and Sir Stirling Moss.

The ethos behind ‘Origine RS’ is to showcase the very best of Renaults Motorsport heritage and the road cars that have followed on from their success, in a way not currently done. We want this new concept to focus as much on creating a great atmosphere for those who attend, as the show of quality cars that you’ll find in the show arena. Be it an original R8 Gordini, an Alpine 310 to a Clio 182 Trophy and beyond, this is the event for you.

Have made some initial venue enquiries but not sure how far this would go in the first year as the event itself will probably be enough of a headache

Further on from what Stephen has already posted, if you guys want to make a few suggestions of what you'd like to see at this event.. then please PM Stephen, myself or Mark Garner with your suggestions for consideration. We already have a clear format of what we do and do not want this event to be, so dont get the hump if your idea isnt followed through.. but please dont let that stop you from making suggestions non the less.

We already have serious interest from over 30 v6 Clio owners alone.. How many Alpines and quality Renaultsports can you guys muster..?

Would Renault powered cars be allowed ie Venturi or strictly Renault built cars?

Hi Paul, my immediate thought for an answer was to say 'as our brief', "anything that bears the Alpine and/or Renaultsport marque, or that came out of the Dieppe factory with a degree of racing provenance". However.. let me confer with the other members of the team please, and will let you know for sure.

HOTEL DETAILS

Hotels are starting to get booked up and the prices are already going up so suggest booking now to avoid further increases / disappointment.

Be careful how you book. The travelodge booking system is weird and it is sometimes cheaper to book the two nights separately, sometimes cheaper together. See below.

Option 1. Best Situated

Travelodge Arundel Fontwell Park

Friday 22nd August = £48
Saturday 23rd August =£40 CHEAPEST SATURDAY ONLY OPTION

Package Friday & Saturday = £94 CHEAPER WHEN BOOKED INDIVIDUALLY (£88)

Option 2. Cheapest

Travelodge Arundel Fontwell

Friday 22nd = £27 CHEAPEST FRIDAY ONLY OPTION
Saturday 23rd = £67

Package Friday + Saturday = £68 CHEAPER BOOKED TOGETHER

Both hotels are close to each other basically on opposite sides of the main road so either is well located for the pub in the evening.

IMO Option 1 is better situated as you can just walk out of the pub and straight into your bed for a small premium.

If you want a family room (with a sofa bed) rather than a double or twin you will need to add one child to your requirements otherwise availability will not show.

NB. These prices were correct when submitted. They will continue to increase as more bookings are made until the saver rate matches the regular rate and/or there is no further saver availability.
