re the Howards Way GTA, I have a copy of the Renault Contact magazine from September 1989, with photos of Stephen Yardley with both E99 GLO and the V6 Turbo he replaced it with, F55 PLW.

It also says 13 million people were watching Howards Way each week...

Ha!

Folk are campaigning to bring Eldorado back after 20 years...Clearly we should lend support to any campaigns - we can volunteer some cars...the fireball A610 (Well TR7) was probably an early victim of bypassing fuel pump relays

Nice finds, tell me you didn't spend too long trawling through that quality* programme for A610 shots?

Funny enough I had a chap come over while I was doing my stint on the stand at the NEC asking about this car and if it was still alive. Explained it was and lives albeit off the road in Scotland.

Would be nice to find out the story of how it was picked to be in the programme. Anyone know any of the producers?

My thoughts as it was from the same makers as far as I know as Howards Way it was probably ordered to be Ken Masters new steed before they pulled the plug and started Elderado. I wonder...

Hmmm not sure, but I don't think Marcoooos started the series with an A610, I think from memory he had a Jaguar XJS and switched later on.

Yep Jag XJS convertible to start with. Just checked.

Time I'll never get back :P Not so long...someone had put the 'best' bits into 8 movies..quite easy to scroll through. My journey started as I wanted the explosion for my avatar...an hour later I had gone down the rabbit hole of eldorado.

I suppose the production team(s) of both series had a hotline to Renault UK....
Another similarity...theme tunes ....Howard's way and Eldorado are by the same performers...Simon May..no I don't have the album (maybe a Christmas gift to some lucky sole)...that album playlist is not something you would wish on your worst enemies.

There is a database of cars in film/tv...a whole world out there of list makers/stattos.....
