Spotted in Baguely nr Wythenshawe in Manchester.

Going towards the M56 Roundabout, looked standard anybodys?

This wont be any comfort but I am enjoying your old car and its going even better now I have changed a duff spark plug........... :D

DOH! Mechanics has never been my strong point :roll:

Nice to know your enjoying it mate, you have got a bargain there me thinks....How are the carbs coming on?

HI Martin,

The carb (front one) is much better, the main fault I found was that the screw tensioning the waxstat spring had fallen out. That meant the choke was on too much and spoilt the settings of the choke flap opening position. But somone has damaged the carb slightly at some time so I will eventually look to replace it. I am not a carb expert but I think the emulsion tube casting has been struck & damaged!!!

Yes hope it proves a bargin, I haven't spent much so far (most expensive item was the engine bay sensor £43.00). Most of the jobs so far have been electrical but no real cost,i.e. rad fan, speedo, drvs window, eng bay fan, battery & wiper motor (I broke that).

Theres still some around for sale, see you in your next one....
