Postby steveatyork » Fri Apr 19, 2013 9:27 am

Ages since i've been on here :-( hope you guys are all well and looking forward to the warm/hot summer that we are long over due :(
Can anyone point me in the right direction re: a set of lug nuts (16) for the Speedline 2112 Renault wheels M12 x 1.25, they use a strange taper which isnt the normal 60 deg, Checked the other night and the inserts are 90 deg :? searched and searched for wheel nuts with the correct 90 deg taper with no luck :(
Somone suggested Renault-Sport but cant find there contact details.
Help :)

Not sure that this is exactly what you're looking for but I recently bought the ER03 wheel nuts for my A310V6 which have the same thread and cone angle that you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply, They look a good option that will/should work, I was hoping to get the wheel nuts open ended if poss, but will keep them in mind. What are they like with shipping to the UK?

Have you tried Demon Tweekes, Wrexham? As they were able to help me with some nuts with the correct taper for my Azev wheels.

I think they are Speedline dealers as well if memory serves me correctly.

Azev's are 60 degree taper, you can get those anywhere. I got mine from a scrappy for £5 for 16.

If you want open ended then I guess it's best to keep looking to get what you want. I bought these because they are the same as the old ones on the car which were rusted with the chrome flaking off.
Just for information, the wheel nuts have a 28 mm deep thread which is more than ample for the wheel studs on the A310 which are 18 mm from the threaded end of the stud to where the wheel nut bottoms on the plain diameter near the hub. See photos.

Forgot to say that there was no problem with ordering the wheel nuts and they arrived quickly. I first saw them advertised on Leboncoin, asked them the shipping charge to the UK and then ordered them.

Ill go for them, they look decent quality and there wasnt really any good reason to go for open ended nuts.
Just hope they arrive fairly soon :)
