 Steve you make me laugh just watched your posted video the bloke driving the 911 was baulked by one of the slowest cars on the track that day and was bum rushed by the Spider, who didn't back off blocked him in (I'd have just pulled out and made it the spiders problem he was far too polite and he lost all momentum, hence the hand risen by the 911 driver thanking the unnamed pilot of said Spider for his consideration    He is also obliged to lift and let the car trying to pass by as part of the instruction for the track day ...you never mentioned that

You also seem to have omitted to tell them that the car has another up-to 40 bhp over a standard road car which is what they are referring to  :lol:lol:

si21  Now only if had the video of Mwah passing the same Spider on the straight giving you the bird in my slow Atmo as I passed you that was running less bhp than it should due to a faulty power cable and posted that     afterwards what does that prove

Nice try Steve you can fool some of the people some of the time

Steve I can't make the track day at Lydden this weekend but I( am hoping to make the one in March. Heres the deal I'll trailer the Spider and you can drive my Atmo down and after that its game on
     you can run your "888's" and Ill run my road tyres as per Brands

Si Bless his cotton ones

If they are going to be only £30k, I may well be in the market for one sooner than I thought, although I would prefer a 400bhp V6 as per the concept car

He tried his hardest to catch up but couldn't get near. 911 rev counter was redlined most of the time

The author mis-quoted. It was 40,000 euros = £34,000 which yes is less than a Cayman in the UK. But no RRP listed for Cayman in France and by the time any fast Renault makes it to the UK the special Renault exchange rate is usually £1 = £1 euro...

so was i and i was not that much slower than a race spider round there either ..but you have missed the point ...they are making a comparison with a standard road car full.weight windscreen lights the lot, heavier panels and and power rated at 150 bhp not to 186 plus bhp of the race car; maybe the race car can take on a road going 911 but could the road car?

Si
