Thanks for the comments, I really like the car having been out in a 997 911 Turbo S at the dealership then seeing one of these being taken out for a test drive I thought lets just try it when it comes back, perhaps it was the active suspension and the fact it was half the price of the 911 that made me decide but it just put a big grin on my face and perhaps made the salesman turn a bit pale. I am still in love with the 911 Turbo S but feel the depreciation is just too high. I have no problem spending money looking after cars but just can't bring myself to loose £1000's a year in depreciation, sure the Boxster will loose a bit of money but it's a fun car and won't loose anything near the 911. This one has everything and the Carbon Ceramic brakes on the 911 were just amazing so the same brakes on a lighter Boxster will surely have people driving into the back of me.

Yep the CC brakes are brilliant, if a little noisey.

It all adds to the experience though plus this one has the sports exhaust which also adds to the sound track

O.K. I sold the car this morning to a chap named Sean who will be joining this forum, I remember when I first tried to join there were certain problems can't remember quite what but if an application to join comes from Sean I can vouch for him not being a spammer or whatever term is or was used when I tried to join.
Since the car has been on Pistonheads this second time I have had at least 14 serious enquiries including one from Australia so just to say to all those who were interested it has gone to the guy I felt sure would buy and thank you for your interest.
As a protest the car refused to start this morning and the alarm went off all the time. I still have a flashing fuel display if anyone can help me sort that out I'd be grateful.

Well done on selling although with such a rare car and a choice of maybe two for sale at any time, it does make buyers keen :-).
Are we going to see you at Newlands on Sunday in anything?

I am still getting a stream of enquiries through for the car even now, just goes to show that there is an awful lot of interest in these cars. From what I could see of what Sean the new owner has done to an older 911 he has restored It looks like he will take the car apart and rebuild most of it to produce what will probably be a truly outstanding example of one.

Although the Lotus is running nicely at the moment I've having to get things organised for my working away at Castle Coombe so Sundays at the moment are way too busy so will have to miss Newlands on Sunday.
