V6 GT .. First model produced

Postby Plug550 » Mon May 28, 2012 9:27 am

Hi

I had this GTA V6 in the early 90's.

Chassis: D50005G0040001
Engine: 910
Reg: ASV 635
First Registered: 17.4.1986

I was led to believe at the time that it was the first right hand drive model produced, as was Renault UK's press/publicity/demo car for a while. It was Pearl White with the European spec light grey cloth upholstery (not the Turbo ribbed that you usually see here). It also had the non Turbo wheels, which were quite unusual, in fact I've not seen them on any other model in the intervening 22 years! It was also unusually rapid for a non Turbo, and had clearly had some work done on it before I had it.

I wonder if it's still around, I sold it to a chap in Lincolnshire I think.

Thank you turbodog. So mine is number 3.
Think it must have been a proto type, due to many different things compared to my other D500 V6GT from 1986

Chris. If you contact Alpine themselves in Dieppe and give them the vin number and fabrication number of your car, they will provide you with the birthdate of your car and even the engineers who made it! Hope this helps.
