Stainless steel coolant pipes

I've just had all the rusted carbon steel coolant pipes on my A310V6 copied and fabricated in stainless steel by an exhaust system fabricator in Macclesfield, Cheshire. I'm pleased with the quality and the accuracy of the copying, especially for the two small bore pipes at the carburretors.
They can do pipes for any cars if they're given samples to work from. Their main business is stainless steel exhaust systems, they'll make whatever you want.

Nice! JP Exhausts by any chance John?

I have had 3 different exhausts made by them (21T Quadra, GTA Turbo and A610) now and they do a superb job.

Just make sure to keep the engine and radiator electrically isolated from the coolant pipes. This means making sure the coolant pipes are isolated from the chassis, otherwise you're setting up the potential (literally) for galvanic corrosion of any aluminium components like, say, the engine block. Decent anti-freeze should protect the system though.

For the record DeLorean coolant pipes are all aluminium and are usually spotless inside after 30 years.

Thanks for the comment. Hopefully won't be a problem as the large pipes will be supported with rubber lined p clips, some pipes don't touch the chassis and the small bore pipes at the carbs can be isolated from the engine block if they are close to making contact. The pipe near the water pump, with the bracket, can be attached to the engine with an isolated connection.

How much (roughly) did the A310 set cost.
I've a few already but not all.

£280.00 + the dreaded VAT for all nine pipes.
I have to add a caveat as the seven large diameter pipes were fabricated from 1 3/8" od pipe instead of the 1 1/4" that I had requested, as the originals. This was because they can only bend down to 1 3/8" od and thought that this wouldn't be a problem. However, 1 3/8" isn't a good fit in the hoses so they have corrected the seven pipes, at no extra cost obviously, by cutting off 40 mm from the ends of each pipe and welding in a 40 mm length of 1 1/4" od. The end of the hoses will hide the joint on the visible pipes so overall I'm still happy with the work. They did the rectification within a day.
