FILIPPO AKA Phildini

How quickly do you need the paint done? Might be worth waiting for Andy.

I'll put a sample of the rubber in question in your box i am sending you.

Jon

Why do you need it?

Mine was replaced when I cracked the windscreen (stone hit it). Basically Autoglass (or whoever it was at the time) said that on the age and construction of the car they had no chance of getting it out without damaging the rubber so a new one was required. Back order from Renault at the time but basically all covered by the insurance save for the 50 quid excess.

I might just have been lucky in who I took it to, but it was just the default windscreen replacement lot for the insurance co but they insisted it should be part of the repair.

Obviously they'd worked on GTAs before because they also wanted the car in overnight so that the bonded screen could cure for the required time and also that the screen was fitted when the car was on a perfectly flat surface.

So anyway there's my tuppence on the subject - see if it can be covered by the insurance.
I'm just here for the gasoline.
