Alpine GTA Blower Motor information Request

Postby StephenB » Wed Mar 21, 2012 8:45 pm

Gents,
Need to know if the blower fan motor for the GTA is still available new and what is the part number.
The one in the car is rattling (Bearing/bushing gone) and my spare one(courtesy of BigMVS) is also knackered for the same problem.
I have left the offending item into a motor repair place but am not having much success in getting it sorted hence the request.
If there is a Valeo or other part number that is a direct swop I would be greatly interested.

Regards,
StephenB

Martin
Apologies!!!!!!!
Did not mean it was supplied that way, only that it had succumbed after about 18 months in the car.
It was bought to replace the one that had gone duff and which I'm now currently trying to get repaired.

In future I will engage brain and read wot I is writing (maybe!! ).

If you have a problem getting a motor then try a VW golf as the motor is aVW/Audi part if you look at the fan the vw part no is stamped on it

Ah I read it as it was faulty on sale

I think the motor is pretty much a sealed unit so once it goes your stuffed. As Andrew says above it has Audi labelled on the outside so it must be shared with a VW/Audi of the same era.

If your really stuck I do have 2 more second hand units which are currently fit for purpose, as with any second hand part though you might get a month, 18 months or 18 years out of it....

My mistake I mis-read the thread

The one I posted was anti-perc (I think) not rad but anyway assuming it is the interior blower then we're talking this:
