That's Dunorland park in Tunbridge Wells - it was a little summer motorshow organised by the local dealers that used to take place every year.

The GTA was the most exotic thing there (by a long way) and was in Alpine blue. If I'm not mistaken it's the car now owned by Wrightbr!!!!

I seem to remember having a conversation with him about this very car before finding out he owned it. I'm sure he can correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

I should add I was there at that event as a 17 year old. I became smitten with GTAs from that point.

Yep thats my car!! My brother bought it from them as an ex Demo , I dont think he paid anywhere near 33k for it though. He had a Red GTA Turbo before this one but he wrote it off so with the insurance money he bought this one. Then I bought it off him in 1996 with only 17k on the clock. It has still only done 30k. I had all the options at the time I believe ABS, full leather etc

Cheers

Even more crazy is that Brad and I first bumped into each other at the Kent showground (Detling Hill) about 15 years after I'd first seen that car in Dunorland Park motorshow.

Basically his wife was in the family car with him, bouncing across a field to the parking areas saying "at least you didn't try to bring the GTA" when we appear in view. Susan was agreeing with her and generally rolling her eyes at that point when they came over to say hello and explain their surprise at seeing a red GTA trying to negotiate the bigger lumps in the field.

Sometimes I think women just think men are always being stupid.

Hi Darren,

Yes I remember it well! It looked like you were very close to beaching the Alpine on a couple of lumps !

Yes I will try and get her out for some local meets this year if there are any, assuming I get some time to change the slave cylinder over before the summer. Also have a third child on the way in May so that maybe taking some more of my time up!

Cheers
