Since it needs engine work, could be ripe for an engine swap.

Clee, since your the man in the know. Do you know if the newer V6 as used in my Laguna's would fit a GTA ?.
The L7X, also used in the Clio V6.

In Laguna II form its 210bhp, but in the Clio's it was 230 somthing i think.
2016 Mercedes A200d 2.2 AMG, 7sp DCT.
2003 Renault Laguna II 3.0 24v V6 Diamonique Auto.

Anything can fit with the right bell housing but the newer v 6 may be a bit taller being a 60 degree engine not 90 like the PRV.
That might mean no shelf and a sticky up engine. Need to get the tape out.

Why not go the whole hog and put the Nissan 350z engine in as that is a Renault lump!! With 270+ bhp. Or a totally different look would to pit an audi 2.7 bi turbo lump in!!! You can get 500 bhp on standard internals!!

Don't think the later lumps are that easy a tune + 250 out of a PRV is easy without all the faff ...
Now Audi bi-turbo is something worth looking at .... I have a car sitting waiting for somebody with vision
