Up to £10k now.

I guess a £15k restoration job would still be a profitable venture though. Off to France I reckon.

Into non profit now. Someone must want it for the fun of the project. The last 8221 at auction made £15k ish with fees and it was mint compared to that one.

Will end up costing way more than a rather nice turbo 1 that just sold...

I bet it keeps on climbing to £15k + which tbh is just crazy for a basket case.

The jones must be laughing all the way to the bank!

Wish I'd hung onto mine for a bit longer :(

It's the maxi chassis number. Shared with I think 200? regular T2s which have the larger 1560? engine and an aluminium roof. Otherwise bog standard including the low rent interior.

True group B chassis number.

£20-25k restoration. Still a good value car even at up to £20k purchase price.

Based on what cars are actually selling for rather than what they are advertised at I would have to disagree.

Two turbo 1s were advertised recently. One at £50k. One at £30k. The £30k one sold at £25k. The £50k one was unsold. The £25k car had just had a £15k bodywork resto and paint job and was externally concours and mechanically good. The front seats had been retrimmed and new carpet fitted throughout. A turbo 1 is more desirable than any t2 and on that basis the above car is worth £10k max even if it ran and had nothing else mechanical wrong with it which looking at the photos is extremely doubtful.

I agree. The only way it would make sense is someone buying to keep and do the resto themselves in spare time.

Still expecting it to hit £15k on that basis.

Had a guy came to look at the gordini turbo I'm breaking last week and he was restoring a car far worse than mine but he was doing it because he wanted to and part of the fun for him was in the build etc

I guess the price of the above explains the dozens of calls and emails after the common parts!!
