Hi ,
If you bought the A610 from E-bay in Dumfries, when you remove the CAT, you'll need to keep it for the MOT. I think that car was 1994 (L) and if the car is (I think) later than 1992 it will need the cat back on for the emissions test! So make sure you get an exhaust that allows you to refit it for the annual inspection.
Between times you'd need to be very unlucky to run into the mobile emissions test check points- most councils have stopped funding them- unless someone here knows better. There were scare stories in the press a couple of years ago, but I've not heard anything recently.
BTW what did you pay for the A610?
Ive done a prototype system similar on the A610, without the cat either, but it seem to affect the performance as much as on the GTA, as the turbo on the A610 is much, much larger and doesnt restrict the exhaust, and the sound at idle was much quieter due to the lower compression of the 3.0 engine..It was still nice and burbly though..
