MMM I have to say Tony I think your standard Clio will be quick and probably be will be quicker than my standard Atmo TBH I have sprinted against Cup cars and theyare always quicker; not that I am saying I know how to get the best out Atmo    but I have tried hard  maybe too hard maybe thats a problem. I think the springs and shock are original and not as good as they should be, not that it handlles badly on the road but gets abit wayward if the and when on the very limit; which i suspect comes a lot earlier    with me driving
I have been in Mr Taylors car on GAZ and it appears to be a lot more forgiving to drive. I have this to do but I am not going to rush it I want to do the job properly. I think this will make the car a lot more forgiving and a lot quicker too, even on road tyres.

I'll certainly try and give you a run for you money so looking forward to it now.

I have contingency plan though, I have 4 batteries plus the one on the car and a big van jump battery to start it if the alternator gives any problems ....as just when you thought it was safe to go back out on the track.....you never know when or where "christine" bless her will strike!!!!

Need some sleep now LOL

The thought of Paddock from well over a ton will be quite dawnting as its a blind apex and off camber and agravel trap that spares no mercy if you get in it sideways ........

I keep seeing visions of that guy in his Mitzi on U Tube rolling it down the hill in the gravel trap

It's gonna be interesting  to say the least :P

Christine surpassed herself at Brands giving.performance beyond my expectationsl; aye Mr Dell you were right about those GTA's they do handle very well off the shelf. Now I realise just how underated a car it is

It was great to spend some flying hours with her on the limit....immense fun 8)

She did however do her usual; the car starting well on arrival and during the morning, the alternator charging well, but after lunch I lost the starter alltogether :? AGAIN :!: :?:

I can only assume that possibly the solenid is having issues, i no longer think that it is cable connections to the solenoid, but the solenoid itself. I am thinking perhaps that the starter had been cooked by cherry red 3 branch manifolds which now wrap themselves around it. The starter has a heat wrap around it wired on, but I am wondering if this is,enough as the manifold used to run overhead with heat rising away from it.

This is quite frustrating but I am hoping to have the subframe out again this winter to change the box for one with a lower diff ratio and will also sort out some Other minor issues on the way; a main bearing oil seal replacement for one, as it is leaking slightly. I hope to sort the starting issue once and for all.

Well I can dream cant I :?:
