Awful, reminds me of something someone did to an Esprit a while ago. I'm sure people start off with the best of intentions.

They whoever they may be, obviously have a thing for the Venturi 400 GT2. But this thing is neither fish nor fowl.

Pity really because the setting for the photo really is nice and would look really good with a 400 GT2 or an unmolested GTA in the foreground. :? :?

By the way it appears to me that they would have to remove the horizontal section of the “wing” to access the engine bay. Now that wouldn’t become a chore just to check the oil and water, would it?

Crap Alpine conversion

Spoilt a good car, its also a crap job, look at the paint and the join.
I imagine Andy will tear his hair out looking at it.
Although, I once put a Bond equipe bonnet on a Triumph Vitesse convertible, I had no money and wanted to 'customise' it
When my friends called it a 'Beach Boys' car it had to go.

It is probably a very reliable car too.
Looks like the rear hatch does not open far enough to get into the engine bay :D :D :D

If you look carefully you will see what looks like two fixing screws at the top, assuming there are two on the other side, remove the four screws, and the wing should come off.

Nobody's mentioned the high quality sill extensions yet. Looks like some UPVC crap you'd buy from the local DIY store.

Hi Guys

I suddenly remembered this little beastie that had appeared on the French Communaute Venturi site a few years back. It is a replica of a 400 GT and is based on another French car; can you identify the car they started with to create this pastiche?

At the time I found it difficult to believe that they were being complimentary about this car, especially when they had not been at all complimentary with the tail light treatment on U.K. owner Paul D’s dark blue MVS Venturi (200). I therefore made a comment on the site stating how surprised I was they complimented the car as I felt it was a poor replica with poor proportions and how surprised I was with their views concerning this car especially when many of them had made such negative comments about Paul D’s rear lights. They replied saying that what really they meant was the execution of the task and the quality of the work carried out, but at least one of their number stated he agreed with “The Son of Albion”, he meant me by the way.

Mind you looking at it again I guess the quality of the work is quite good, or at least better than the bit of kit that got this all started. Oh and if you want to see the rear light treatment that so upset the French check out the car parked next to the red 400 GT2 in the photo above.
