Intercooler grill removal

The work never ends on these cars does it?! Love tho eh! My rear intercooler grill is very discoloured so I intend taking it off and spraying it. My question is, how on earth is it removed? Any advice would be most welcome.

Remove light clusters , 4 long hex nuts ,carefull with these as they can split the mounting pillars if corroded.
You can then get to the smaller long hex nuts that retain the grill.

Either that or mask the surrounding area and you can then slide either card or paper behind the grill to protect the intercooler from any paint.

Its actually really easy (slide the paper up from beneath) and you can then spray in situ!!

Better still rip it off throw it away and replace with a 610 rear grill looks a whole lot better! Mister dell will will supply you with all you need!

I'll second that A610 grill makes the back look much neater.

£18.48 each for the OEM brackets (2 required)

£5.00 each for stainless steel copy brackets

or make your own from a pattern.

Don't try and fit the grille without the brackets.

£0.29 each for the screws (4 required)

£0.12 each for the spring nuts (4 required)

These are the Renault parts, but you probably have something suitable on the shelf at home.

£13.20 for the 'ALPINE' badge

£22.84 for the flying 'A' badge

Choose whichever you prefer.

Once you've fitted the A610 grille you don't need to remove the lights anymore to remove the grille. (if you need to later)

Im not 100% sure that it would look right with the standard GTA rear light clusters. The A610 lights blend in far better, can these be fitted too? If so, how much will they set me back?

A610 lights are £195 each and look worse in my opinion.

I have to agree with Stephen . Trust me it will look the dog's B*****ks with the GTA lights !

Trust me the A610 grill looks great with GTA lights. It really changes the look of the rear....kind of makes it look less cluttered and cleaner and a little bit more contemporary. The smooth lights help with this look. I considered the A610 lights a while back but they just dont suit the rear of the GTA.
