Exporting a car to Switzerland

Postby steveatyork » Fri Aug 26, 2011 1:29 pm

Can anyone advise if theres anything i need to do for exporting to Switzerland :?: ,
One of my mad moments advertising the T2, i will prob live to regret it  Just to add though the reponse was mad.... in the end two buyers were fighting to put a deposit on it... popular little cars, oh well its looking like one less T2 in the UK :(
Renault Spider, Marcos Mantis, TR6...

you're exporting out of the EU.... let them buy it at UK price and they will sort out import to swiss themselves, the wil need i think 5 copies of the bill of sale, i recently dropped a clio cup at the border (geneva) for a guy who'd bought the car in the uk, also you'll need to fill out the V5 to say it's been exported and have a copy of the buyers ID just to cover you're ass if theres any probs with customs / DVLA
a certificate of conformity will be required normally for them to register it but they can source that themselves from Renault, if they don't mention it just take their money and thankyou very much.

if you or the buyer need enclosed transport UK to Swiss border (FRENCH) let me know, I live 30 mins from Geneva.
