A610 Register - Help Wanted

Well it looks like the numbering is completed. Just waiting on confirmation form Renault & Alpine on a technical point but to summarise seems there were two cars started but not completed until later.

L969WLE (now L3 ALP) K010834
M6 TEN K010836

We know that M6 TEN was late due to being a special order in an Espace only green, but no idea why Mr Salama's was so late. Hoping it's not because it was used for the RHD crash tests and fixed up later!

Anyway seems Alpine only counted the cars up to K010818 as they reported 818 were made and this wouldn;t have included these two so hence 67 + 2 = 60 cars in total.

We now need to decide to order by:

1 Chassis number (the order in which they were started)
or
2 Fabrication number (the order in which they were finished)

For example my car would be number 54 by chassis number or number 52 by fabrication number.

The final conundrum!!

Having compared notes with Renault they had the two Singapore cars missing from their list, but they have a car with a foregin reg on thier list which I had marked as LHD

VFAD5030500086020 971BZX44 - This is not a UK reg. How would we find out if the car was really RHD or not? I have it down as LHD on my list.

So there are either 68 or 69 RHD cars depending on whether VFAD5030500086020 971BZX44 is RHD or NOT

Did you ever find out which VIN/FAN that solid red RHD car was in South Africa I found for you for sale?

Also Turbodog mentioned to me once that 2 RHD 610's were bought by a French Renault/Alpine Dealer then taken back to France and converted to LHD then sold on due to them being £10k cheaper in the UK.

Go on then Statto, what's my Fab/Vin number sequence then?

No but it's not that one as it's blue, good thinking though.

I heard that too but now not sure if it's urban myth or not. So many differences between the cars.

I've tried getting these figures but have failed on the how many left website I've tried Alpine A610 etc but no luck

Well engine ect all good but the car had been lowered and the ride is far to hard for an old git like me, so I am going to put the car back to standard, plus put the air con back in plus the interior needs doing and some minor paint work, so I suspect by the time I have done all that it probably won't be a bargain.
