Cobras and RS6's!

Postby Tony Smith » Wed May 18, 2005 8:02 am

These 2 seem to be a popular choice. Theres a guy with a Skyline I know who has a fantastic Cobra replica, pale yellow with white livery, money no object build, big capacity American V8... - with twin turbos! Reputedly 800 bhp. He said he breaks a lot of transmission components!
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

I think Rod leach only deals with the 'official' cobras, including the autokraft ones which were made 'under licence'. These aren't cheap copies (I know you can get expensive and probably better copies). Simon obviously spends his big salary on other things ....

OK, I'd need a much bigger win than 100G before I could allocate that much to wheels. Assuming I could I'd go as follows:
GTA LeMans
A110-1600 (prefer 's')
Original Lotus Elan Sprint
Espace V6
Clio 182
Audi RS6
+ the revolver... all the cars I fancy trying for a little while, Starting with A Lotus Europa S2, I'd probably move on to a larger one after like a Jensen Interceptor or a Aston V8 then back to a little one like a Matra D'jet or a porker 914/6 etc...

I would never ever buy a new car (I hate paying the taxman the duty) and would change the clio (city run-about) and Audi (country run-about) on a regular basis.
This lot probably leaves me change but 'the revolver' would bounce the finances up to that level now and then (is there such a thing as a cheap dino 246?). 8)

First of all I'd finish the GTA - Le Mans 24V conversion!!

Keep my spider (is that allowed)

Then a decent DB4 Aston... £70K

Subaru Forester. (can't be doing with all these Audi A6's)

Think I've run out of dosh... nothing unusual there then.
