Someone actually ordered a set so I thought I'd take a pic of them to prove they exist

In fact two people ordered a set but one cancelled when I told him they were £75 each not a pair

They have been available for ages

They've been available since I've owned a GTA ....6 years you just have to order them

Yes that is true, just no one wanted them until the glass ones went super expensive a few months ago so the moulds have been sitting dormant for ages. Glass ones used to be £100 each so made the polycarb look expensive.

and it takes 6 years for them to arrive same ole sh1t

Simply not true. The last set went next day delivery before I left for Germany.

Here's the pics before they were dispatched:

Exact copies £150 pair. May even come from the same place for all I know.

Good luck with selling them, although you shouldn't need any luck as at half the price of OE it's a no brainer

You would think so but these are £50 cheaper and and people don't even seem to want to pay that much.

Lined version looks nice though!

Rant over!!

people won't pay you because you don't deliver mate .... you need to either let other people in and the Alpine world will benefit or carry on trying to do it all yourself and it will die a slow painfull death because you won't let anyone have anything from your unknown hoard i know you'll never have the frustrating feeling of waiting for a part for a car when it's unuseable because it's waiting for an order to be delivered which has been forgotten about in the world that is Mr D because you've that many cars you don't know which one to drive first.... ah you do the one which you come to first that actually will start and drive...

also the cars may start to appreciate in value if they had a better support network as they would be starting to change hands more often and also end up in better condition if stuff was more readily available.....

perfect example above...... you shoot it down not good....

Don't think so. Type in ZW793054325GB

Says DELIVERED as far as I can tell

http://track.royalmail.com/portal/rm/tr ... track_home

No as you well know unless something is stupidly cheap (and often even if it is) GTA/A610 owners always just want it cheaper and will always go and try and source things themselves when they are already available eg disks and pads. In this case the existing glasses were a perfect fit and cheaper and people still didn't want to pay for them so good luck charging £50 more.

I have seen people recently pay £35 for a second hand mirror when they could have a new one for £50. At Bromley a guy even turned down a new genuine heated mirror glass in favour of a halfords pattern stick on one to save a tenner.

Another case in point. The twenty windscreens I had all went straight away because it was impossible to source them cheaper. Now the new batch might be £20 more per screen and people are already umming and aahing.

Spider owners might be prepared to pay top dollar as their cars are actually worth something but experience shows GTA/A610 owners won't so the club tries to make things as cheap as possible.

And just to clarify if the club van is at an event there will always be a selection of popular items on board eg badges, mirrors, glasses etc.

No not good. From my point of view I would say this whole thread is shooting me down not vice versa as you imply. A good product has been available for ages as discussed even recently here on the forum:

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... lamp+glass

I bet if i started making and selling spider windscreens and headlamp glasses next week just after you have got your product in production you would be mightily pissed off. And if I was trying to sell them for more that's not even helping members either.

OK the website needs a decent shop but if the product is there and fits, there's no point wasting time and resources making it again unless it is much cheaper or better.

because you won't let anyone have anything from your unknown hoard

Hardly unkown when most of the GTA stuff has been catalogued, itemised and advertised here for a year:

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... _Parts.pdf

Problem is it's only 50% off and will therefore be slow moving until it's reduced until it's almost free or someone actually needs any of it.

And no I haven't catalogued all the spider stuff yet but some of it is advertised here:

http://www.renaultalpineownersclub.com/ ... 202011.pdf

And I bought some of it to Bromley as requested and the guy who ordered it didn't show up presumably because it was raining. So hardly non-delivery...

feel free bet you get chopping your screen and headlamp glasses out pronto..... it will cost a few hundredquid for the tooling and then you'll need to order 20 sets to start off to be considered as a customer
you've already trod on my toes mate and i asked you not to a long time ago... pull your finger out of your asp and either do things properly or give it up look at the website many a person has offered to help but you still refuse..... you won't let anyone organise anything you have to do it all yourself and everything gets left to the last minute. how's the club going to benefit if you won't let it happen, as those of us who spend alot of time redevelopping parts which are obsolete and try to make a few bucks out of it seems to get your goat..... isn't it fair that someone spends alot of time and investment to do these things they should reap something back, look if we rely on you to do it..... we could all be dead before anything gets done
lee has done well in the short time he's been at it but your support at suppling stuff doesn't help when he's promised a guy the other side of europe some parts and they never arrive for 6 months..... been there myself several times i'm still waiting on the 10 brake kits for GTA you said you were going to sort out 3 or is it 4 years ago can't remember anymore.... made me look pretty unprofessional i can tell you the guy would have bought them straight away but as usual forgotten about and you could have made some money for the club or yourself in the processs.... probably because you're too busy trying to buy every car which comes on the market before anyone else can get to it

RANT continues.... time for bed.... or time to sell up and get into fezzas

Come on guys, in-fighting achieves nothing, added to which much of the criticism I've seen in this thread is unfair. The lists of GTA and RHD 610 parts were available well before the parts were ever collected from Dieppe and a few of us pre-ordered. I went to collect (last August) and Stephen helped me rummage through the 'stock' for hours after which we negotiated a very fair price over lunch. Even before then I had had several deliveries of parts/manuals etc from Stephen for which he accepted payment afterwards. I've been involved with several car clubs in the past and in most respects RAOC is more helpful and member-focused than any of them, and much of that is down to Stephen. Well, that's my six penneth anyway and I always judge as I find.

you've already trod on my toes mate and i asked you not to a long time ago

When? I have no idea what you are talking about. In fact the opposite is true. I had already agreed to bankroll the recent track-rod end development for Clee on open forum, you phoned and asked me not to as there was cross over with the Spider market so I pulled out straight away at your request. AFAIK I have never deliberately trodden on anyones toes including yours.

as those of us who spend alot of time redevelopping parts which are obsolete and try to make a few bucks out of it seems to get your goat

No if a product isn't available any more and someone makes a fair profit then I have no problem. I know how long it takes. I was first in line for the steering wheel adaptors and track rod ends Clee made and the headlamp glasses, balljoints and windscreens you did. I just don't see the point re-making something that already exists for more money.

but your support at suppling stuff doesn't help when he's promised a guy the other side of europe some parts and they never arrive for 6 months.....

And what item was that? Clee has never waited that long for anything from me. Maybe 6 - 8 weeks max for Samco which is the norm and everything gets sent cost and on credit for him to re-sell. How does that not help?

been there myself several times i'm still waiting on the 10 brake kits for GTA you said you were going to sort out

If you really wanted 10 existing spec kits you know you would have them assuming the brake man gets his ass into gear. Dave got his within a week.

probably because you're too busy trying to buy every car which comes on the market before anyone else can get to it

Like the white dini that no one else wanted and had no other bidders after being listed twice on ebay and the spider on race cars direct that you, mark and matt all gave me the heads up on.

Could the club members have access to the club 'stock list' in the members section?
At least then I know what I can buy from the club or if I have to start phoneing about for S/H or pattern/substitute parts/stuff.

I have never waited 6 months ,that is true , was probably 4 ,not completely Stephens fault as Samco were in the frame but it still tends to make you look a bit DG .....Stephen has supplied a few parts of late and to be fair they have turned up very quickly ,unlike the bill :) :)
I don't mark up those parts ,Samco ,Magnecors etc ,the ones I list on my site are the same price as the clubs .

I think more to the point is that no one seems to know what goodies do exist unless they try really hard to get an answer .I hear that new Ali rads are available ? A lot of things seem to go under the radar .New windscreens? £20 more ?? I'm still waiting for Autoglass ....

So ..anyone want some headlight covers ? Lined ? A lot better .

There has to be some profit in stuff like this or why would anyone do it ? I know how long it took to get the covers sorted , if you add up the man hours ,again ,you'd never do it .Minimum wage doesn't cover it .

Maybe due to lack of a shop and when things get posted up for sale in the forum they disappear a few weeks later never to found agin unless you search for them until someone makes a new post.

Yes we have aluminium radiaitors but they can't be that far under the radar as I think 7 of them have managed to find new homes now and there are more on the way. I'll get some pics up. Only Mr Law has fitted his though as far as I know. All aluminium. Largest possible size you can fit woithout chopping the car. Were around £215.

Re: screens they were £160 last time but I was told they will be closer to £180 this time. I am down to 1 which I kept for myself. If there are a couple more firm orders I'll get some more on route. They are a perfect fit.
