Standard valve springs on a 12v start to float at 7800rpm. You can hit that kind of power this side of 8000 on a 2664 atmo

Lost again..who mentioned valve springs? A works 2664 wouldnt be running standard valve springs anyway...you wouldnt build an engine with high lift cams using the standard coil springs anyway, as they would coil bind the moment the cam reaches peak lift...Maybe thats why 'some' people have had so many problems in the past...
I thought we were talking about oil supply and breathing, ie a big lump of metal spinning around at very high RPMs called the crank and pistons....Even the standard engines have breathing problems circa 6k, wack another 2k on top...
