GTA Turbo Steering Rack.

Postby redodare » Wed Jun 01, 2011 9:43 pm

Hi Guy's, Anybody out there have a good usable Steering Rack. If not do you know of a source for exchange units?
As a last resort has anybody done a overhaul. The near side bush has a lot of play due to loss of lubricant. Wrong Gaiter I suspect.
This is just one of many setbacks to my project REDShed.

I had this problem and the main shaft in my old rack was badly corroded.

You can get to the bush and it has been suggested that it is the same as some other Renault bushes that are available.

I didn't chase this up because my rack was too far gone.

There is quite a lot of info on this on a thread I started a while ago.

Have you tried Renault? It might sound daft but an exchange rack for an A610 was about £120 when I did mine. (wierd, I know!)
