I hope the market doesn't drop that much!

No, believe me. This one is for keeps.

Re the wheels - I prefer the vanes, I'm also not keen on leather but I'm not sure how far to go with this. It's poor enough to do what I want with without losing too much money on getting it to a standard that I'm happy with.

Congratulations, glad to see one of 'us' has bought it and it isn't another one leaving these shores. Hope it doesn't have too many issues underneath but anything's fixable! :D

Just honist!!!
I just pissed i did not win it as i wanted something for a le mans project or a hill climber, but at least it is staying in the uk for now and i do hope a610beaver restores her to a former glory. I dont care if it is up for sale in a month for double the price so long as it is restored nicely and stays in the uk!!

I would book it in now for paint with andy as he is sooo busy restoring a R 5 turbo 2, he has done a stunning job on mine!

MVS's post reminds me about when Pinocchio was having some "personal" problems with his girlfriend as she kept getting splinters from his wooden cockerel. He went to see Geppetto to help him. "What you need is some sandpaper, here you go".

A few weeks later, Geppetto bumped into Pinocchio down at B&Q and asked him "how are you getting on with the girlfriend" he asks "Girlfirend" says Pinocchio "who needs a girlfriend when I've got sandpaper"!!!!

I've not joined the club as I used to be with the other one when I had my GTAs and A110s but I would be happy to join now if RAOC would have me!!

I'm not sooo far away from halifax but over the border in Lancy!

Hey this is the most we have all talked together in a thread for ages

Don't be too hard on the Beaver, it could have ended up with some dodgy breaker

Oh and I also win the guess the price competition? No I don't want another "goody bag" at Prescot Dell Boy
