wrong ! do it again .

Nearly right but not quite .Top two corners stick up too much so would stress when bonded in .Back with them now to see what they can do but needs another making .
I'm in no great rush ,price was £267 without the trim ,they wanted £106 for that but it wasn't available anyway .....

re-making ...end of May delivery date .
I'm not fussed as I have more than 6 months spare to get JIL back on the road but worth making a mental note that the screens are now non-existent .....

Time for the club to get a load made ???? There is a 'chap' that does it I'm told for Autoglass so invest in the future or what ???

That dude in Tamworth can do them from China, £100 each he was charging. Dell boy and Mr Holt visited him last to clean him out of Spider and GTA screens. I'd have a word with him yourself mate:

not correct........

he doesn't have any spider screens....

my spider screens are a one off commision made in UK by a reputable manufacturer...... that expains why they're not selling for £100 each

plus the spider screens are heated with 2 heating elements a totally different product to a GTA screen.......

Yes, they weren't cheapies from China though they were Triplex/Pilkington made in the UK. Only the A110 screens are cheapies from China AFAIK.

I was having them made in batches of 5. Problem is they made A310 screens by mistake as there is a cockup with the part number so I agreed to buy those as well and funnily enough they went quicker than the GTA ones.

Need to get some more soon if yours doesn't work out OK as a single.

No labels as they are all freshly made .This one was a bit better but still stuck up on one side about 10 mil ....Passenger side was better but still up a few mil .
Looks like they are too flat at top center so the corners protrude .I did ask how they are making them ,what template they are using etc .....No one at Autoglass can say .They are being made by Pilkington .
End of July ..Will probably not fit again if they just use the same former/whatever ........

Do you still have one left from the last batch Steve ? Might be worth trying it for size and see if it's JIL that is out ?? Don't think so but you never know ..

I could put a straight edge accross the top of my screen and measure the distance of the curve at each end, for a simple, initial, comparison? Photos too, so you can measure the same.

Thanks Simon but I do have 5 others here to measure if needed
It's not out in that way .The outline shape is correct to fit the aperture but the ' bow ' at the top is not dropping enough to sit down at the corners iyswim .
The screen sits proud at the top corners

Mine has a Pilkington screen and it fits OK.
As the cars are weak as pastry around the screen in fact I think the screen gives it much of the strength-, especially at the top ( its only a thin fibreglass frame with a 10/15mm diameter bent metal tube in it and some glue) are you sure the car is still straight after the roll cage installation. Might be worth a quick check against your other 5 before you wait again and still have the same problem.
Just a thought....
